Hatko Sound Barrier Strengthens Its Presence in Portugal with A11 Highway Project
Hatko Sound Barrier has delivered another noise barrier project in Portugal, this time on the A11 Highway, one of the key road corridors in the northern part of the country.
The A11, also known as Autoestrada do Baixo Minho, runs through the Braga and Porto districts and serves an important connection for cities such as Guimarães, Braga, Porto, Felgueiras and Lousada.
For this project, Hatko Sound Barrier supplied green-surfaced acoustic barrier panels designed to reduce traffic noise along the highway while maintaining visual harmony with the surrounding landscape. The system combines acoustic performance, structural durability and a natural appearance, making it suitable for both urban and semi-rural infrastructure zones.
Located on a busy motorway route in northern Portugal, the project supports quieter road environments and helps reduce the impact of highway noise on nearby residential and public areas. The green panel surface also allows the barrier to integrate more naturally with the roadside environment, creating a softer visual transition between infrastructure and landscape.
This A11 Highway project highlights Hatko Sound Barrier’s ability to deliver reliable, long-lasting and visually compatible noise control solutions for international transportation infrastructure.
Hatko Sound Barrier continues to expand its international project portfolio with sustainable acoustic barrier systems designed for modern highways and urban infrastructure.
