Hatko’s Journey to Net Zero
Regarding the journey of Hatko towards Net Zero: We, as Hatko are committed to net zero greenhouse gas emissions, nature positive, healthier planet with ambitious but accessible sustainability targets for 2030 and 2050. Hatko recognises that a balance between anthropogenic emission sources and removals is needed to limit global warming.
Thanks to the on-site remediation according to the latest Life Cycle Assessment of 2024 for our products we have reached down to 2,7 kgs of CO2 eq. from 29 kg CO2 eq. emissions, where alternative noise barriers such as of concrete, steel, aluminium, acrylic: cause tonnes of CO2 emissions. We have also offset the excess emission cradle to gate by suppling 100 tonnes of VCU from VERRA resulting the net zero emission for the mentioned batch of NB2.
