Hatko Sound Barrier has delivered a distinctive noise barrier application on the A11 Highway viaduct in Portugal, providing an acoustic solution for an elevated motorway section surrounded by natural and residential landscapes.

Viaduct projects require a different engineering approach compared to standard roadside applications. The system must offer effective noise reduction while responding to wind exposure, structural stability, height conditions, and long-term outdoor performance. For this project, Hatko Sound Barrier’s green acoustic panels were installed along the viaduct edge, creating a continuous protective line against traffic noise.

The green surface of the panels helps soften the visual impact of the highway structure and allows the barrier to blend more naturally with the surrounding landscape. This makes the solution not only functional but also visually compatible with the environment.
